(mi-lorenteggio.com) Milan, 29th may 2012 – «The International theological pastoral Congress is an extraordinary and valuable event, which enhances the citizens’ life both in their ecclesiastic and civil dimension». The Cardinal Angelo Scola, Archbishop of Milan, has opened the press conference of the presentation of the International theological pastoral Congress. This morning at the Fiera Milanocity – Mico there was also the Cardinal Ennio Antonelli – president of the Papal Council for the Family – who has anticipated some research which will be presented during the Congress: «The family which is normally composed, formed by a stable couple with two or more children, is happier for the people composing it and more advantageous for the society. Even if it is economically poorer, it is richer in relationships and, in the last resort, it produces quality “human resources”.

In the opinion of monsignor Franco Giulio Brambilla, Bishop of Novara and co-president of the scientific theological Committee of the Seventh World Meeting of Families, this Congress «will be showing three ways to renew daily life, living the relationships (family), inhabiting the world (work), humanizing time (Sundays)». «The family is a recognizable public reality and represents a message to everybody, not only to believers: it is the first place where responsibility is primarily learnt», has said Eugenia Scabini, dean of the Faculty of Psichology of the Catholic University and Counsellor of the Papal Council of the Family.

Alfonso e Francesca Colzani, officers of the Family Services office of the Diocese of Milan, have high expectations: we are approaching with great serenity the period of the congress. We expect to meet families from different parts of the world and thus to enrich our own experience. When everything is over, we also expect to go back to our ordinary activities in a different way»
Finally, Renzo Canciani, manager of the RAI Tv Production Centre of Milan, by citing some figures, illustrated the commitment of RAI to report the visit of the Holy Father: “There will be more than 30 cameras, high-definition camera work broadcasted worldwide, a motorbike, a helicopter used to follow Pope Benedict XVI and about 200 people with different tasks in different places.
