(mi-lorenteggio.com) Venezia, 06 agosto 2009 – L’edizione 2009 sarà diretta da Marco Müller, mentre la giuria internazionale del concorso sarà presieduta dal regista Ang Lee.
Ad aprire la Mostra sarà il film italiano "Baaria" di Giuseppe Tornatore, mentre in chiusura della rassegna verrà proiettato il primo film fantascientifico delle Repubblica cinese "Chengdu, wo ai ni" (Chengdu – I love you).
Domenica 6 settembre alle ore 14.45, presso la Sala Grande del Palazzo del Cinema, verranno proiettati in anteprima mondiale "Toy Story" e "Toy Story 2" in 3D, nonché alcune sequenze del nuovo lungometraggio "The princess and the frog".
Alle ore 17.00 seguirà la cerimonia di consegna del Leone d’oro alla carriera a John Lasseter e ai registi della Disney Pixar Brad Bird, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton e Lee Unkrich.
Quest’anno verrà assegnato anche il nuovo premio Persol 3D, che andrà al miglior lungometraggio 3D prodotto tra settembre 2008 e agosto 2009.
Lunedì 7 settembre, invece, sarà la volta della Disney Pixar Animation Master Class, in occasione della quale verrà ripercorsa la storia della Pixar.
Per quanto riguarda il cinema italiano, tornerà anche quest’anno la retrospettiva "Questi fantasmi 2: cinema italiano ritrovato".
2009 VENICE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
First anticipations about the 66th Venice International Film Festival, directed by Marco Müller, that will take place from 2nd to 12th September 2009.
The award-winning director Ang Lee will chair the International Jury for the Competition.
On Sunday 6th September in the ‘Sala Grande’ of the ‘Palazzo del Cinema’ at 2.45 pm there will be the world premiere of "Toy Story" e "Toy Story 2" in 3D, as well as an exclusive world premiere presentation of advance footage from the feature film "The princess and the frog".
Then, at 5 pm, it will be the turn of the delivery of The Golden Lion Career Award to John Lasseter and to the movie directors of the Disney Pixar Brad Bird, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich.
On Monday 7th September, in the ‘Sala Perla’, John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich will also hold a Disney Pixar Animation Master Class, during which the film-makers will discuss the development of Pixar’s pioneering animation process as illustrated through the evolution of the studio’s films.
Concerning to the Italian cinema, also this year there will be the retrospective "These Phantoms 2: Italian Cinema Rediscovered".
